The eye glasses frame that will light up your face may not be the latest fashion design. Is it better to wear the latest fad design in your eye glasses frame or to wear the frame that makes your face look its best? In order to find the frame that will light up your face and spotlight your face it will mean using the frame that fits your face and is the best shape. This may turn out to be something that is not the latest trend.

The best shape of the eye glasses frame that you choose should be one that is a balance for the way your face is shaped. However, when it comes to the size of the frame you will want to find one that is the best match to the size of your features. For instance, choosing a frame that is too big for your small features will only make your face look odd. On the other hand if you want to emphasize a certain feature of your face then using a larger frame will accomplish this. When you want to embellish a square jaw feature, using a square kind of frame will bring attention to this particular feature.

Faces come in basic shapes and finding the perfect frame for the face type makes a big difference in the overall look you are trying to achieve. For the oval face type, the choices are almost unlimited because this is considered a perfect shaped face and can handle almost any eye glasses frame effectively. Try them on and see which one feels good to you.

The round shaped face, however, does present some difficulties. It is best to try to minimize the rounding curves of the shape of the face. To accomplish this, a frame that is square will do a lot to minimize the round shape, especially if the frame is wider than it is high. This gives the illusion that the round face if wider and less round than it is in actuality.

The heart shaped face happens when the temples and the forehead are wider and the then narrows at the chin. The best frame for this kind of face shape is one that is actually the reverse of the heart shape with the narrower part of the shape at the top and the wider part at the bottom which is a counterbalance for the heart shape of the face. This may be a little hard to find so a good alternative might be using the square shape with the bottom squared off and the top more rounded. The most flattering will be either partly rimless or rimless kinds of frames.

If you have a square kind of shape to your face where the cheeks, forehead, temples and the line of the jaw are all about the same width and the length is about the same. This kind of shape works best with rounded kinds of frames or oval shapes. The best choices will have the width greater than the height to balance out the square shape of the face.

The narrow face is usually a longer looking face than its width. With this kind of shape in the face the frame needs to have greater width than length. Be careful not to get a frame that is too wide for your narrow face. It will not be flattering and the part of the lenses that have the correction will not be in the proper place for good sight. If the frame is semi-rimless the length of the narrow shape of the face will be minimized.

Now you have a few ideas for finding the perfect eye glasses frame for your unique face shape. The perfect frame will not only enhance your appearance but will make the placement of the corrective parts of the lens in the best position for good eyesight.
